Born in 1978 in Tel Aviv, Hagit Pincovici spent her formative years under the tutelage of her grandparents who owned a factory manufacturing plexiglass and oversaw the design and production of other everyday items. Her grandmother’s sense of design and modern trends inspired Hagit Pincovici to design her own bedroom furniture as a teenager.

To further pursue her affinity for the visual arts, Hagit Pincovici attended the department of Industrial design at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. After graduating, she became the director at the international lighting and furniture atelier “Aqua Creations LTD.” in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

After gaining further experience in Paris and attending the Design Management and Cultural Experience program at Domus Academy, she took a position at the Naba Design Academy in Milan while pursuing her professional design work. Hagit Pincovici collaborated with Italian companies such as Colè and Miniforms and was part of a group exhibition at the Milan Triennale in 2009.

Hagit Pincovici’s work is characterized by its bold simplicity, which fuses handmade designs with remarkable craftsmanship and an elegant color palette. Manufactured at an artisan owned studio in Brianza, Italy, all of Pincovici original designs are handcrafted and painstakingly customized. Pieces range from functional, brilliantly executed coffee tables to the “Alma” chair—a personal favorite of the designer and symbol of her stark, conceptually oriented aesthetic.

Eclipse and Metaphysics, Pincovici’s furniture collections, possess individuality and move from the function to the inspired. The designer’s collaborations include work with Fossili Urbani and the Microcosmo Di... workshop. Her work has been featured in the Design after Design exhibition in Milan, The Wall Street Journal, 99% Design magazine, Interior Design, AD Magazine, and at the ICFF Furniture Fair in New York.
