Trays function as surface containers for collectibles, and this multi-tasking desk/vanity table was designed as two stacking trays on a light wooden frame. Contemporary lifestyles demand furniture to be more mobile and flexible, servicing multiple functions, while remaining lightweight for easy transport. This piece responds to that need, using the analogy of trays on trestles as a point of departure. When the drawer is closed, the small door on the desktop provides access to the drawer contents. When the drawer is fully extended, the desktop door provides access to a concealed compartment lined with red leather. The fold-out mirror is adjustable to three possible angles.
